This week we have brought brand new weather apps worth trying. 1.  CliMate Released date: 25Jul2020 Downloads:  50+ Size: 2.37 MB Version: 1.15.2  Climate is surely a new entrant to the play store but not just another basic weather app since it offers all the features of a weather app without any ads and in-app purchases with a clean and simlple UI along with loads of customization options. Features: Themes support. Complete weather report for a week. Customizable units Parameters such as temperature, wind speed, Humidity, Pressure, UV Index available. Sunrise and Sunset. Widget support. Graphical representation of the data. Mostly shows accurate data.

Huawei Mate 10 Series Smartphones unveiled - First Impressions


Huawei has unveiled two flagship smartphones Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. These Mate 10 series phones come with the Skinny-Bezel trend of 2017 and improved AI support as well.


Mate 10 series smartphones have an improved design compared to the previous generation and have 16:9 full view display. The backside is built with a Curved glass panel which is a fingerprint magnet.
The Mate 10 comes with 5.9 inch 2560 x 1440 LCD panel and Mate 10 Pro has a 6 inch OLED screen with 2160 x 1080 resolution which is lower than the Mate 10. 


As mentioned earlier, both phones have glossy glass construction and are available in Mocha Brown, Champagne Gold, and Black for Mate 10 and whereas the Mate 10 Pro is available in Midnight Blie, Titanium Grey, and Mocha Brown. The Mate 10 has 8.2mm thickness and sports a fingerprint sensor below the screen, the Mte 10 Pro has 7.9mm thickness and sports its fingerprint sensor on the back.

Only Pro model has the additional features such as IP 67 rating and an IR Blaster but no headphone jack whereas the Mate 10 has 3.5mm headphone jack and the both come with  USB type C.

These both phones powered by the Kirin 970 SoC which features four Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.36 GHz, four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz along with the Mali G72 MP 12 GPU and features Neural-Network Processor Unit  (NPU) which handles mobile AI very well. Both phones come with 4000mAh battery, 64 GB internal storage, and dual Leica cameras with f/1.6 apertures. The Pro model comes in an additional variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

  

The Camera set includes 20MP Monochrome + 12MP RGB with f/1.6 lenses, OIS support along with dual LED flash, support 2x Hybrid Zoom and 4K video recording. The front-facing camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture. These phones have fingerprint sensor, G-Sensor, Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Barometer and Hall Sensor. As far as the software concerned these phones run on EMUI 8 based Android Oreo.

These two phones come with desktop docking solution which similar to Samsung's DeX. The advantage of this docking method is that it doesn't require dock, supports direct plug and play into a monitor and has privacy control set up when docked.

"Huawei says performance degradation is the biggest issue in Android platform and to solve this the company has implemented AI processing which learns from the user and allocates resources with the machine learning."

Pricing and Availability: The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at EUR 699 ( approx Rs. 53,400), and will go on sale from November in Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE as the initial launch. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at EUR 799 (approx Rs. 61,000)
