This week we have brought brand new weather apps worth trying. 1.  CliMate Released date: 25Jul2020 Downloads:  50+ Size: 2.37 MB Version: 1.15.2  Climate is surely a new entrant to the play store but not just another basic weather app since it offers all the features of a weather app without any ads and in-app purchases with a clean and simlple UI along with loads of customization options. Widget support. Graphical representation of the data. Mostly shows accurate data.

Nokia 8 - Nokia's Flagship offering

HMD Global had launched the Nokia 8 in August 2017, this is a Flagship device from the Finnish company.

Nokia 8 has 6000 series aluminum unibody construction with Curved back with polished mirror finish which sports Dual ZEISS cameras and on the front, it has 5.3 inch IPS LCD display with 2560 x 1440 (QHD) resolution. This display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass 5. The fingerprint sensor is located on the front side and at bottom USB type C and a speaker grill, on the top it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

 This phone is available in Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel and Polished Copper.


 This Smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 1.8GHz and comes with 4GB RAM. This smartphone comes with a 64GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD. It has 3090mAh battery which is non-removable and weighs 160gms. 

 This phone provides a longer battery life since it has advanced cooling technology " Nokia has added a full-length copper cooling pipe with graphite shield to disperse system heat across the full body of the phone" 

 The main focus point of the camera is its Dual Zeiss Camera setup on the back. This camera set up consists of 13MP (Color + OIS) + 13MP Monochrome sensor with f/2.0 aperture and it's a wide angle lens. The front-facing camera is Zeiss 13MP shooter with AUTO-FOCUS with f/2.0 aperture which is wide angle lens. With this camera setup, Nokia introduced a new feature called "Dual-Sight Mode", which lets us use both front and back cameras simultaneously for split-screen photos and videos. Nokia has named the photo taken by both front and back cameras as "Bothie". The rear cameras can record video with 4K resolution with Nokia OZO spatial 360 degree audio.

 Using this camera set up Live video streaming is possible to Facebook Live and YouTube Live with a single touch.

 It offers Dual hybrid sim solution and has Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, E-compass, Gyroscope, Fingerprint Sensor, Hall sensor, Barometer
The Nokia 8 runs on Pure Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box without any bloat ware and company has promised to release all important software updates on monthly basis. This phone offers unlimited storage with Google Photos.

Google Maps - New Update (Version 9.70.0)

This new update brings few visual changes and three categories to the maps experience. Search Nearby: Right after opening the app you'll get to see a search nearby panel with separate tiles for Restaurants, Cafes, Gas stations, ATMs, Pharmacies, and Groceries which will help nearby places without any typing. Just below the tiles photos of the popular places nearby which will give first glance about the places and surroundings. This option can be enabled by tapping the Explore tab at the bottom. Search Nearby Driving or Driving Mode: This driving feature proposes faster routes to home or office along with traffic updates in that particular area. Android Auto has been integrated for Drive smarter. Finally there a tile which provides information about rides or trips (trip details along with distance traveled).
