This week we have brought brand new weather apps worth trying. 1.  CliMate Released date: 25Jul2020 Downloads:  50+ Size: 2.37 MB Version: 1.15.2  Climate is surely a new entrant to the play store but not just another basic weather app since it offers all the features of a weather app without any ads and in-app purchases with a clean and simlple UI along with loads of customization options. Features: Themes support. Complete weather report for a week. Customizable units Parameters such as temperature, wind speed, Humidity, Pressure, UV Index available. Sunrise and Sunset. Widget support. Graphical representation of the data. Mostly shows accurate data.

Pixel Launcher (No Root required) - Review

Pixel devices are known for pure android experience and Google has introduced Pixel launcher exclusive for Pixel devices which is very straightforward and has the simple design. Due to its simplicity Android enthusiasts around the globe wanted this launcher on their devices. For a while, though it was not possible to access all of Pixel launcher features like Google Now panel and without root access.

 However, a developer called Amir Zaidi had taken the inspiration form Paranoid Android developers and figured out how to get all features of Pixel launcher without root. He had done this possible by reverse engineering the Pixel Launcher from the original Pixel and migrating those features into the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) launcher, though few features are dependent on Android version such as adaptive icon feature needs Android Oreo.

 Key features:
  • Simple app suggestions (app shortcuts)
  • Icon pack support (Calander icon changes with the date.
  • Use padding underneath the bottom search bar on devices without a navigation bar.
  • Screen size profile available for a 6×6 grid when the DPI is low.
  • Possible to open and close notifications from anywhere on the home screen.
  • There is a release link in the settings app when clicking About -> Version.
  • Centered screen popups when left/right would go out of the screen.
  • Open the browser when using the search bar when the Google App is unavailable.
  • Themes look like the Pixel, for compatibility across OEMs.
  • Resize all apps list when opening the keyboard.
  • Disabled adaptive icons for pre-Oreo apps, so you don’t get boxes inside of boxes (Only Oreo Supported).

Google Maps - New Update (Version 9.70.0)

This new update brings few visual changes and three categories to the maps experience. Search Nearby: Right after opening the app you'll get to see a search nearby panel with separate tiles for Restaurants, Cafes, Gas stations, ATMs, Pharmacies, and Groceries which will help nearby places without any typing. Just below the tiles photos of the popular places nearby which will give first glance about the places and surroundings. This option can be enabled by tapping the Explore tab at the bottom. Search Nearby Driving or Driving Mode: This driving feature proposes faster routes to home or office along with traffic updates in that particular area. Android Auto has been integrated for Drive smarter. Finally there a tile which provides information about rides or trips (trip details along with distance traveled).
