The all new SD 850 is a successor of SD 835 used in first Gen Always Connected PCs, which offers improved performance, connectivity, and battery life.
The SD 850 compute platform is designed for constant connectivity just like mobile devices with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 as mentioned earlier LTE modem.
Max download speeds up to 1.2 gigabits, a 20% improvement over the SD 835 platform. In addition to this, the Snapdragon X20 modem comes with an improved design that offers up to
70% faster LTE connectivity speeds in the weak cellular reception conditions and it comes with the capabilities such as
able to receive notifications and sync data even in sleep mode which makes always connected possible.
Even though the SD 850 mobile compute platform supports
Always-on technology
, it is quite capable of delivering longer battery life (25% increase in battery life) than traditional CPUs and features a 30% faster graphics (
Adreno 630 Visual Processing Subsystem) and processing speeds (
CPU clock speed is up to 2.96 GHz and 8 x Kyro 385 CPU) over the previous generation platform and 4-5x times loner connectivity standby. It supports
Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.
The
Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine and heterogeneous computing architecture on the SD 850 mobile compute platform supports features such as improved on-device camera experience with Qualcomm Spectra 280 Image Signalling Processor (ISP) and voice user interface and a better battery life as well.
