This week we have brought brand new weather apps worth trying. 1.  CliMate Released date: 25Jul2020 Downloads:  50+ Size: 2.37 MB Version: 1.15.2  Climate is surely a new entrant to the play store but not just another basic weather app since it offers all the features of a weather app without any ads and in-app purchases with a clean and simlple UI along with loads of customization options. Features: Themes support. Complete weather report for a week. Customizable units Parameters such as temperature, wind speed, Humidity, Pressure, UV Index available. Sunrise and Sunset. Widget support. Graphical representation of the data. Mostly shows accurate data.

Know Settings - WhatsApp (Version 2.18.298 - Android)

Whatsapp added a few new features which are quite useful in the recent updates, let's dig into these features now.

 Request Account Info:

 This feature can be accessed via Settings > Account > Request account info
Whatsapp - Request Account Info
Using this feature, users can get a report from Whatsapp and this report shares the account information (Contacts, Profile Photos, Group Names etc) and settings but it does not include messages. This is basically to showcase to the users the data the Company collects, in compliance with the new EU data privacy policy.

According to Whatsapp, the report should be available within three days from the date of the request and also it is important to note that certain actions such as deleting the account, changing the number or handset, re-registering the account will cancel the request.

To download the report, use the same path as mentioned earlier and this will automatically download a ZIP file which consists of an HTML file that is very easy to read and a JSON file that can be ported to another app.

Storage Usage

This feature can be accessed via Settings > Data and Storage Usage > Storage Usage.

This shows storage used against each chat and group, tapping on a chat/group will show details as below.


Tapping Manage Messages will enable deleting option, with this users can delete the unwanted stuff easily to free the storage.

Google Maps - New Update (Version 9.70.0)

This new update brings few visual changes and three categories to the maps experience. Search Nearby: Right after opening the app you'll get to see a search nearby panel with separate tiles for Restaurants, Cafes, Gas stations, ATMs, Pharmacies, and Groceries which will help nearby places without any typing. Just below the tiles photos of the popular places nearby which will give first glance about the places and surroundings. This option can be enabled by tapping the Explore tab at the bottom. Search Nearby Driving or Driving Mode: This driving feature proposes faster routes to home or office along with traffic updates in that particular area.
